Essencekit sat outside the leaders den. It was her time, she was six moons old now and she had yet to become an apprentice. "Mr. Illogicalstar?" The small and partially blind kit called from outside the den. "A-Are you there?" She asked nervously. She was a bit nervous to ask Illogicalstar for a ceremony. What will he say? Will he say I am not good enough to be an apprentice? Will he say since I am blind in one eye I can't? Essencekit felt like running away, but now it was to late....

A large sized white tom was sitting in his den, napping slightly, tired from whatever it is he does all day. Trying not to think of anything at all, Illogicalstar finally managed to clear his mind of all thoughts when a little voice came from outside the den. The leader sighed and stood up, giving his ruffled fur a few licks, taking out the soft green moss from his pelt. Looking out of the den, Illogicalstar saw Essencekit, sitting timidly at the entrance. "Come in, Essencekit. What do you need?" The tom asked in a soft voice, yellow eyes watching the kit. |

Essencekit slowly padded in and sat down in front of the large tom. "H-hi Mr. Illogicalstar." Meowed the small kit. "Well I was wondering....." Her only good green eye met his yellow ones. "If, uh I could be an apprentice soon." She looked down at her paws thinking of what to say next. "I am six moons old now, and I think I am ready." She said, her fluffy white fur bristled with nervousness and she was hoping that the tom before her wasn't noticing her agitation.

Illogicalstar studied the kit carefully, taking into note her blind eye. Well, I probably should... but is she ready yet? The leader had to make a decision in just a few seconds- whether to let the kit train as an apprentice or possibly crush her dreams. But what about her eye? Yet again, she'd probably do fine... He thought, fighting with himself. I'd need to keep an eye on her to- Then he had his idea. Perfect. Noticing her agitation, the leader sat in front of her, looking into her green eyes. "Yes, you can. I will have a ceremony soon." |

Essencepaw smiled widely and gave a small jump. She was so excited! "Oh boy, thank you Mr. Illogicalstar!" Meowed the small apprentice happily. She could not wait to be an apprentice and do all the things apprentices did, heck in her mind she would be better than all of them. She would be the best warrior the forest had ever seen. Her white fur flattened and she was no longer nervous. Just filled with a new sensation, glee.
