Revivalpaw smiled at her mentor and followed him. She was about the exit the camp when she turned back and looked at Vit. Her face was a mask, although the apprentice had a mixed feeling of disdain, hatred and fear brewing inside her. She turned back, slightly shook her head and left through the gorse tunnel. She could be so much better, Revive thought as she exited the tunnel. Revivalpaw stopped and waited for her mentor, Stoicstar, not wanting to seem disgracful or something by pushing ahead like an energetic kit. Revivalpaw perked her ears and listened, noting the amount of prey running through the forest. This will be a good day for hunting, the apprentice noted.

Stoicstar glanced over at his new apprentice. She had energy, that's for sure. But there was a fine line between good energy, and just too much. However he knew that almost every energetic apprentice mellowed out with time.
The leader continued on, finally stopping at a sound, mid-step, left paw still poised above the ground. He had heard something. He flicked his tail at Revivalpaw, indicating that she needed to stay put. Stoicstar swiveled his ears, left then right until he heard it again.
The dark tom instantly dropped into a hunters' crouch. Then he remembered that it would be best to watch Revivalpaw try her paw at hunting. "This one's yours," he hissed through barely parted lips, nodding his head towards a little patch of moving grass where the rabbit was situated.

Revivalpaw stalked around to the rabbit's left side, where the wind was blowing the rabbit's scent right into her face. The rabbit smelled good, healthy, and it was plump. The apprentice knew she could not let it get away, which only added to the pressure she was already feeling. This was her first piece of fresh-kill with a new mentor and Revivalpaw did not want to disappoint her mentor.
The young she-cat crouched low, waiting for a moment. The rabbit made a motion, making a small amount more noise than it had made previously. Revivalpaw took this moment to strike, darting forward, ready to kill.
The rabbit never had a chance. One small motion and it was over. In the blink of an eye, the rabbit lay dead at Revivalpaw's feet. She sat up and looked at Stoicstar, relieved she was good under pressure.

Unlike Revivalpaw, Vitalmedicine had a freaking terrible hunter's crouch. She sucked at hunting, probably because she hated it. The only way Vit managed to redeem her shamed soul was to overtake the rabbit with strategy and sheer power. No problem with that! Vit scowled at her paws, knowing how good Stoicstar would be. Hell, her parents were terrible. Lucky Revivalpaw. Deep inside, Vitalmedicine knew she was jealous of the hyper active Revivalpaw. Vit knew she would never act like that. It was like it was written in her genetic data. |

OoC: I love Vit. Warning, this will be the most boring post ever. I'm trying to meet the required with no muse. You can skip the first paragraph.
The group stood near a small, bent tree. One leaf, a large, green one, fell from atop a high branch. It slowly drifted down on a gentle wind, heading towards the group. It passed over Stoicstar's head and around Revivalpaw's leg. It drifted upwards and passed over Vit's back, landing on the rabbit.
Revivalpaw picked up the rabbit and buried it by the tree, the leaf still lodged in the rabbit's fur. She covered it with dirt and turned back to the group, "What next," she asked enthusiastically.

Stoicstar's face held a glimmer of a smile, like the breeze containing the hint of spring in late winter. "Good job. You're quite the hunter." he praised in his deep voice. The tom stood up and stretched. "Well since I can't find any flaws in your hunting, it is useless to continue right now. Let's go to a nice place where we can train, shall we?" the tom padded to an almost sandy spot on the open moor. "Here." he said decisively. Then, without warning, the large tom launched himself at his apprentice, aiming to pin her.

Amnesicmind laid outside the warrior den, bored. He hated days like this. He hated to be sitting around doing nothing. Hopefully Stoicstar would send him on patrol or something, anything was better than sitting here. He licked his paw noticing a little speck of dirt on the light gray tint. He sighed inwardly and sat up shaking the dirt from his fluffy pelt. His warm eyes scanning the clearing for something to do. He saw some cats talking, but made no effort to get up and join them. He looked into the forest and his eye caught a squirrel jumping up into a tree.

Seeing a warrior doing nothing, Vitalmedicine stomped over, a scowl on her face. Deciding to break her code of silence, the grumpy deputy parted her jaws to bark orders. "Hunting patrol. Find cats to bring." she snarled and sulked off, glowering. The deputy hated cats. Hated life. Hated everything. Hell, she wouldn't give a freaking blink if they all just died right then. Vit didn't care about death, good cats died and flew up to grow old on creaky stars in the sky. Vit didn't want to do that. When she died, she would be the same cat she was alive.

Amnesicmind grunted, "Well aren't you just Negative Nettlepelt!" Amnesicmind called after her and give a little laugh at himself. He looked around for some cats to take. Why was Vitalmedicine such a mean and careless cat? Amnesicmind knew he had been like that as long as he remembered. He could not think of any reason why a cat as pretty as her was so mean. He shrugged it off and his green eyes again scanned the clearing for cats like himself doing nothing. He licked his paw and shook his gray pelt, still feeling the dirt clinging. He could not stand that!

Finechina flicked an ear as she heard Vitalmedicine snarling out harsh orders at Amnesicmind, and Finechina frowned. She could make out the words 'hunting patrol' so she assumed the deputy asked, no commanded the warrior to organize a hunting patrol. "Well aren't you just Negative Nettlepelt!" Finechina caught from Amnesicmind, and figured Vitalmedicine was being her usual cranky, rude self. Finechina would never say that to the deputy though. She kept all her negative thoughts inside because 'If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all!' The she cat trotted over to Amnesicmind, smiling in her usual friendly matter. "Do you mind if I join you?" she questioned her clan mate, hoping he wouldn't mind. She liked being of use, not like a lazy old elder. Not that there was anything wrong with being a bit of a slacker as an elder! They had earned their rest and comfort after serving the clan for countless moons after all. |

Amnesicmind flicked his tail in happiness at his remark. Yeah that's me, always coming up with the best come backs. Amnesicmind was so bust praising himself he barley noticed Finechina speaking to him. "I'm sorry what did you say?" He asked. "Oh wait never mind." He said remembering what she had asked. "Uh, yeah, hunting patrol....Sure." He meowed turning to face her. He flicked his tail again and looked at her.

Finechina opened her maw to repeat what she said, but she shut it once again after Amenesicmind realized what she'd said. Her whiskers twitched in amusement as Finechina interpreted that the tom was praising himself, being extremely pleased about his comeback to Vitalmedicine, the deputy. She smiled at her clan mate happily, as she chirped,"Great!" The calico paused for a moment thinking,"We're going to need some more cats then just us..." Her eyes flickered across the camp she called home as she searched for cats to come with them to hunt. "I would say Vitalmedicine, but you don't seem to have a good relationship with her, nor does she seem willing to join as she would have led the patrol herself..." |

Vitalmedicine snarled as she walked off, fuming. The deputy hated everybody and didn't give crap if they though she was pretty. Go die in a hole, Vit though bad-temperedly.

Amnesicmind smiled at Vit, what a bunch of crow-food! He looked back at Finechina. "Don't ya just love her?!" He asked her with a smile. "Yeah, we will defiantly need more cats. Any in mind?" He asked looking around the camp again. His eye caught the fresh kill pile, it was running low. They would need more food, and soon.

Revivalpaw waws not completely ready when the attack started, as was barely aware by the end of it and was able to get mostly out of the way of her leader, although not completely. Revivalpaw's back left leg stayed behind to become trapped by the leader. Revivalpaw quickly thought of a move, although it could possibly hurt. She ignored it and rolled up onto her leader's back and tried rake sheathed paws down his sides. She figured it was a good move, although not one that was unknown.

'Guys, please don't fight,' came the small voice of the albino medicine cat apprentice. Her milky pink gaze turned to Vitalmedicine and Amnesicmind with a pained expression; this was the reason she stayed in the medicine cat den all day fixing things up and only having to deal with a steady flow of cats. Not this huge barrage of sharp words and hurtful tones, gosh who could blame her.
'Yeah, hunting patrol sounds good. So everybody shut up and go~' Of course she just wanted the fighting to stop; as a self proclaimed peace-keeper she hated seeing fights break out when the clan needed to stay untied in a cliched bunch.

Finechina flicked an ear as she heard the mew coming from the medicine cat apprentice. She's right. We shouldn't be fighting amongst ourselves like this. Are we not a clan, and a family? She laughed softly as the medicine cat apprentice ordered everybody to shut up and go. "Come on Nesi," she mewed, nicknaming the tom cat happily, "we should get going. If any other cats find us, they can join us on the hunting patrol. We'll do just fine." Taking the words of advice from the albino, Finechina padded towards the exit to start their hunting patrol. |

"Nesi?" Amnesicmind asked as he followed here into the woods. He thought about when his mom used to give him nicknames as a kit and laughed to himself. As soon as they started off, Amnesicmind caught the scent of a mouse. He opened his mouth to catch the scent better, and followed where he thought it was. Just through a bunch of trees a light grey mouse was sniffing at the ground. Slowly, Amnesicmind snuck up on the small mouse and pounced, his claw caught the edge of it's tail as it tried to scurry away. He pulled the mouse towards him and made a swift bite to it's neck and whispered a quick thanks to StarClan.

Revivalpaw stood, smiling at her mentor's compliment. "I'm much to quick for that," She laughed, knowing that she would have trouble against a full grown warrior, at least for now.
As she spoke, Revivalpaw took note of Stoicstar's position, his bunched muscles, his stance. It was the beginning of a perfect tackle, and the brown pelted apprentice could only imagine forming her stance like that. Well, that was why the dark brown tabby was Stoicstar, leader of Windclan, admirred and respected.
Revivalpaw shook her head slightly, clearing her mind and prepared to dodge the attack.

Stoicstar used force to make his back legs pounce up, then he leaped, aiming for the young apprentice's left side. His claws were sheathed. He wanted her to lose her balance and topple over, leaving her soft underside open and vulnerable. His paw's outstretched as he came closer to getting her side. If the apprentice was quick enough she could crouch down and just miss his paws, and send Stoicstar right over her.

Revivalpaw laughed. This was fun! She rolled to her right, landing with her back to the place Stoicstar was destined to land. Had she not been paying attention, that move would have been admirably effective, but the pair's discussion had give Revivalpaw time enough to efficiently dodge.
Revivalpaw crouched, muscles tensed, body scrunched so she was as small a target as possible. She was ready pounce forward when Stoicstar came after her. Revival craned her head to watch her mentor and leader.
Just then, it occured to her how tired she was. Quickly scanning Stoicstar, she saw no trace of that same weariness. D*mnit!

Stoicstar watched as the clever apprentice rolled over and he flew right over her. He almost barreled into a tree, but landed just beyond it. He took a second to steady himself. "Good!" He praised her. Before the apprentice could respond he was already padding quickly towards her, he aimed to pin her down. He was happy he had Revivalpaw as an apprentice. She was quick and clever.

Revivalpaw, fatigue setting in, smiled at her mentor's compliment, and wish she could have continued to do well, but success was not in her favor at the moment.
Too tired to properly dodge, Revivalpaw got the majority of her body out of Stoicstar's reach, but not quite all. One of Revivalpaw's back legs remained where Stoicstar was aiming. As gravity forced him downwards, he would land front feet on it.

Stoicstar went right into her back legs and landed swiftly on his paws. He turned to make sure he had not hurt the young apprentice. He noticed her exhaustion. "Are you tired Rivivalpaw?" He asked. He did not want to make her feel bad. "My old bones won't take much more of this." He said smiling down at her.

"Yeah, maybe we should head back," Revivalpaw said, licking her leg. The last attack had not hurt, but it landed in just the right spot.
The brown furred apprentice stood and waited for her mentor to take the lead back. The training session had been fun, and Revivalpaw was proud that she had held her own against the clan leader. She kept most of her weight on her three other paws, devoting the one on which Stoicstar landed.

Stoicstar took the lead noticing the young cat was struggling on her back leg. "Are you okay?" Stoicstar asked. "I didn't mean to hurt you." He felt a bit bad. Had he been a bit to rough on Rivialpaw? He walked slowly so she could keep up. He was happy that he got to get out of camp for a bit even if it was just to train Rivivalpaw. He did not regret becoming leader, but he was always so caught up in his duties that he could never get out to patrol or hunt. He looked at Rivivalpaw awaiting for her reply.

Revivalpaw padded along behind Stoicstar, almost running into him when he stopped. "Yeah, you might have landed a little heavily, but it'll wear off in a second or two," the brown apprentice said, giving Stoicstar an encouraging smile. It wasn't his fault she was too slow to dodge, although she thought she might want to see Radiospeaker or Ribbonpaw about it when they got back to the camp.
Revivalpaw smiled once again and started walking, brushing past Stoicstar.
